Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe has been in the news of recent times for political unrest and turmoil. While this is the case, the instability remains in the cities of Zimbabwe and does not effect the tourist areas.   The parks are far away from the cities and the tourism is much needed to help the locals of Zimbabwe.  A safari in Zim is no less rewarding than anywhere else though the prices are more competitive here due to the political situation. A house boat on Lake Kariba is relaxing, exciting and luxurious as you drink the African sunsets and have the fish you caught in the evening, prepared for you. Shine your torch on the banks at night - crocodile eyes reflect the light. Home to the spectacular Victoria Falls, a visit to Zimbabwe is not complete without this incredible site.  For the adventurous, the Zambezi river offers thrilling white water rafting or canoe trips - mind you don't go over any hippo's heads! Even the historical enthusiasts are rewarded in Zimbabwe as the Zimbabwe Ruins give light to a thriving civilization in Africa. It is a story of traders and Kings.
