seychelles
The Seychelles were recently put on the map in historical terms and they remain in many ways, untouched, some even uninhabited. There are about 115 islands for you to pleasure cruise around. The Creole culture is alive and well here and some time in the capital Victoria on Mahe will give you a chance to get to know the culture. Otherwise, with so many islands a secluded spot is easily found and you might think you were the first visitor there. The Seychelles are also home to an ecological UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve is a palm forest with many rare botanical species as well as a species of black parrot. Guided walks are available and highly recommended. The flora and fauna have been perfectly preserved. If fishing is your thing then try a hand at deep sea fishing - so many records have been set off the shores of the Seychelles.
