CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

Chobe is the oldest of Botswana's national parks. It also has the most diversity and offers a truly up close and personal experience with the wildlife. The elephant population here has expounded and there are about 120,000 of these giants in the park. These are the Kalahari Elephants, the largest of all elephant species. A cruise on the Chobe River is extremely popular; sundowners and game viewing go well together. The Suvati marsh area in the park is well known for its resident predators - beware the lion and hyena!
